Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Engineering Technician to support the Engineering Department by delivering timely technical support and QA/QC for underground operations. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving in a complex mining environment.

Key duties include QA/QC of ground support systems, installation and maintenance of underground instrumentation, and participation in safety audits and training to ensure compliant, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with underground QA/QC and ground support testing required or preferred.
• Must meet federal and state eligibility requirements for handling explosives.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective, timely delivery of technical support and QA/QC for underground needs by enabling the Engineering Department Support Group.
• QA/QC of ground support (shotcrete and CRF strength testing, bolt pulls, gradation analyses, shotcrete slump testing).
• Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting of underground instrumentation.
• Participation in safety audits, training, and scheduling.
• Maintenance of all testing records, both paper and digital formats.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
