Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking an Equipment Foreman to lead telecom construction crews, oversee project timelines, and ensure safe, efficient field operations on assignments in Des Moines, IA. You will manage equipment and materials, coordinate with supervision, and mentor crew members while maintaining DOT paperwork in a safe, productive environment.

In this role you will ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies, Support the supervisor with daily tasks, and drive on-time

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• At least three years of related experience
• Foreman experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Safely operate and control assigned equipment
• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide updates
• Oversee and help with training of crew members
• Follow safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations
• Maintain production notes & DOT paperwork
• Operate heavy equipment and machinery, complete maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• All other duties as assigned

What you\u2019ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver\u2019s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
