Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking a General Foreman to lead crews responsible for constructing and maintaining underground power lines from plant to meter base. You will read blueprints, ensure safety, and supervise the line crew to deliver high-quality electrical distribution work.

The role requires a Class A CDL, 7+ years in utilities and 3+ years in supervision, with ONCOR experience preferred. OSHA 20 is a plus. This is a field-based position with strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of field utility experience.
• 3+ years in supervisory role.
• Class A CDL required.
• Experience with ONCOR units and billing procedures.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience and OSHA 20 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary materials, permits, and licenses for each job.
• Oversee project work and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed per MasTec or customer requirements.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety inspections.
• Train new hires and oversee crew performance.
• Climb poles and perform overhead cable work as required.
• Coordinate daily tasks and supervise digging and placement activities.
