Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Underground Groundman to support underground distribution system construction, maintenance, and repair.

The role involves working at various locations and may require travel to another state depending on customer demands. Responsibilities include safely performing tasks around energized systems, setting transformers, maintaining equipment, and following safety rules.

Competenze

• No experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days; CDL preferred but not required.

Mansioni

• Work safely while performing underground construction, maintenance or repair work on energized and de-energized systems.
• Set pad mount transformers.
• Operate around high voltage systems with safety precautions.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Capable of performing rigorous physical labor.
• Assist with basic rigging, hand lines, and lineman knot tying.
• Assist with installation and hookup of single phase transformers.
• Capable of bucket rescue/escape and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Check voltage, inspect PPE, and follow safety rules.
