Qualifications

• No experience necessary.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on underground distribution construction, maintenance or repair.
• Set pad mount transformers.
• Work around energized high voltage systems safely.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
• Follow directions and use tools properly.
• Understand basic rigging, hand lines, and lineman knot tying.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE for wear and safety.
• Identify voltage on circuits and understand grounding concepts.
• Willing to glove/live high voltage distribution lines.
