Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Underground Groundman for entry-level work in electrical underground distribution. This role travels to multiple locations and may require travel to another state based on customer needs.

You will perform safe construction, maintenance and repair on energized and de-energized systems, set transformers, and assist with PPE and tool inspection. Continuous safety and physical endurance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice, and to work in various locations.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe construction, maintenance or repair on underground electrical systems.
• Set pad mount transformers and assist with voltage-related tasks.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
