Job summary

GTS is seeking an Underground Foreman/Drilling Operator in Ocala, FL to oversee crews operating directional drilling equipment and related machinery. You will read layouts, locate utilities, and ensure safe, compliant operations on outdoor sites.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of directional drill experience, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations governing underground construction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3–5 years operating a directional drill.
• 3–5 years experience as a Directional Drill Locator.
• Ability to drill in high-risk areas with live utilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and underground construction.

Responsibilities

• Operate GTS drill equipment and other machinery per drilling duties.
• Read job layout, locate utilities, and set up equipment safely.
• Maintain and secure assets, inspect and repair as needed.
• Read blueprints and organize materials for excavation.
• Maintain bore logs and field notes.
• Work with team to complete tasks and meet timelines.
