Job summary

SOUTH32 Limited is seeking a Coordinator for Underground Development & Construction at the Hermosa Project near Patagonia, Arizona. In this role, you will ensure high-quality execution of shaft sinking and lateral development activities, while coordinating closely with contractors and project teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, along with supervisory experience in mining or construction management. Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance is essential, along with excellent project logistics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical Degree (Construction or Similar) and appropriate Trade qualifications; or experience in lieu of degree.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in mining or mine site construction management preferred.
• Visible field safety leadership and ability to drive safety and performance excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with environmental and community relations policies.
• Collaborate with Project Services to coordinate material and equipment deliveries.
• Promote a strong safety culture through visible field leadership.
