Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑minded Cable Splicer to construct and repair underground electrical systems. The role involves work on energized and de‑energized lines, with travel to various job sites as needed and reporting to the Foreman.

Requires 3 years of underground experience, valid CDL, and willingness to travel long distances on short notice. Outages and after‑hours work, including overtime, may be required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground construction, maintenance and repair with safety focus.
• Lead crew in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and hardware.
• Apply tagging procedures, grounding and voltage safety practices.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks, and mini excavator.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and outages; be available for on-call.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
