Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a skilled Cable Splicer to construct and repair underground electrical systems, on energized or de-energized lines. Travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-state locations, may be required. You will report to the Foreman and lead crews in his absence.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of underground experience, a valid CDL, and the willingness to work varying hours, including overtime and outages, in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work extended hours and outages, including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair underground power systems, energized or de-energized.
• Lead crew in the absence of the Foreman and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks and mini excavator.
• Travel to job sites, including out-of-state locations, as required.
