Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑focused Cable Splicer to construct, repair and maintain underground electrical systems. Responsibilities include working energized and de‑energized lines, leading crew members when needed, and training apprentices.

Travel, outages, and on‑call rotations may be required across multiple job sites. Applicants must have 3 years of underground experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to work outages, storms, emergencies, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized underground systems.
• Lead crew members in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; perform live-line work with approved techniques.
