Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Cable Splicer to construct and repair electrical underground systems, onsite and at various locations. The role demands safety focus, ability to work energized and de-energized lines, and travel to multiple job sites as needed.

The position requires a minimum of three years underground experience and a valid CDL, with willingness to travel long distances on short notice. You will operate heavy equipment and train apprentices while maintaining safety-focused

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair underground power systems, energized and de-energized.
• Lead crew in absence of IC and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground conductors and hardware.
• Perform live-line work with gloves and hot-stick techniques.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks, and mini excavator.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and tagging/grounding procedures.
