Job Description: The Office of Communications Media is seeking a federal aid recipient for student employment as a Student Graphic Designer. This position will be funded by federal work study dollars; only students that receive financial aid awards can be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Student Graphic Designer will work with department staff and faculty to create original designs for departmental events to be used in online and print materials. The student will be given feedback on their designs and required to make revisions if necessary.

Each event would require a set of graphics (poster, handout, digital version for social media).

Below is a list of possible projects the student might work on:

• Fall Theater Production (November)
• Spring Theater Production (April)
• Visions (April)
• LaCoy Production Fund

Requirements:

• Major in Communications Media, Game Design, or Digital Media Innovation.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in graphic design.
• Appropriate applicants should have more advanced training with Adobe Creative Suite programs.
• Must be able to complete designs in a timely manner so they can be printed in advance.

Additional Information:

Shift Information:This is a student only posting and you must have Federal Work Study money allocated to you in your financial aid package. Shift will vary based on student schedules and the pay is $15 per hour.

Shifts hours will be 5:00pm-10:00pm. Later in the semester an optional Saturday shift will become available.

Priority Review:Students enrolled in Communications Media, DMI, and Game Design will have priority consideration for this job.

Length of Employment:September 2026 through May 28th 2027

Rate of Pay:$15.00 /hr
