The Pennsylvania State University is seeking undergraduate students for an IT support role within the Applied Research Laboratory. Candidates will assist with a variety of tasks including computing support, cybersecurity initiatives, and technical writing.
This paid part-time position offers flexible hours, working up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week in summer. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, along with a strong interest in IT.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Information Technology Services Office of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is seeking undergraduate students to work across a variety of information technology disciplines including, but not limited to, computing support, networking, systems administration, helpdesk support, and cybersecurity. ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.
Students studying Information Science and Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer; hours will vary. This is a paid part‑time position located at ARL's Main Lab Building on the University Park Campus. Relocation and housing are not provided.
ARL's purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense, and the Intel Community.
