Qualifications

• Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related fields.
• Ability to apply basic problem-solving techniques and analytical principles to solve technical problems.
• Demonstrated academic achievement in scientific or engineering curriculum.
• Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to solve technical problems.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated exposure to topics such as machine learning, risk/decision analysis, infrastructure modeling/simulation, threat/hazard modeling, data analysis, open-source research and analysis, systems engineering, operations research, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and/or research support to projects in critical infrastructure analysis, modeling, simulation, cybersecurity, and related fields with scientists and engineers.
• Support development, testing, and documentation of LLNL methodologies and capabilities.
• Participate in research under supervision in areas like risk/decision analysis, infrastructure modeling, threat/hazard modeling, data analysis, and systems engineering.
• Perform technical assignments of basic complexity and support scientific projects.
• Attend on-site seminars and training classes (at least one per week).
• Present work through presentations and/or poster sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
