Puckett Machinery Company is seeking an Undercarriage Technician in Gulfport, MS. You will work on Caterpillar track and undercarriage systems, gaining hands-on repair and service experience in a professional shop environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and testing undercarriage components, troubleshooting failures, and documenting service reports. The role offers mentorship, training, and growth opportunities in a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Excellent work habits, accuracy, attention to detail, and quality of work.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Basic torch and welding ability are a plus but not required.
Time management skills.
Ability to develop technical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Clean, inspect, and use tooling to remove, repair, and install undercarriage components and parts (track groups, idlers, rollers, etc.).
Identify the problem and cause of failure through troubleshooting steps.
Test, measure, and adjust undercarriage systems and components.
Research and determine reusability of parts per manufacturer guidelines.
Coordinate ordering of replacement parts with supervisor.
Prepare and submit detailed service reports of inspections and repairs.
