Job summary

Foley Industries, Inc. is seeking an Undercarriage Technician to perform repair and reconditioning on undercarriage components. The role emphasizes diagnosing, troubleshooting, and ensuring repairs meet customer needs promptly and with high quality.

You will test repairs, communicate with customers, and travel for training or to assist at other locations as needed. The position requires basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge and the ability to read technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics.
• Reading and comprehending specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, and other related publications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and full reconditioning on undercarriage components.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and make critical repairs and adjustments.

• Troubleshoot equipment as required.

Undercarriage Technician

Our Undercarriage Technician is responsible for providing high-quality repairs and reconditioning to meet customer needs quickly and efficiently while ensuring maximum value for work performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and full reconditioning on undercarriage components.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and make critical repairs and adjustments.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers regarding repairs.
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, and instruments.
• Understanding of crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred).
• Preferred forklift experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, and other related publications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with undercarriage components).
• Stable work history.
• Caterpillar experience a plus.

Physical & Working Requirements

• Safely and repeatedly lift components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance.
• Safely lift, carry, and lower components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials.
• Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights.
• Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
• Safely operating tools and equipment.
