Job summary

Prosegur in Canton, MS is seeking an Unarmed Security Shift Supervisor to maintain a safe environment by patrolling, monitoring premises, and guiding security staff on-site.

The role offers part-time, first/second shift coverage including weekends with an hourly wage of $18.13. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid D- License, and prior security supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of security supervisor experience.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs daily.
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods.
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security.
• Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed.
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
• Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks.
• Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property.
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs).
• Supervise for irregular or unusual activity.
