Job summary

Prosegur in Marina Del Rey, CA, is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to maintain safety for customers and staff. The role requires customer-service orientation, clear communication, and the ability to perform patrols and access control while reporting incidents.

Qualifications

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Logging inbound and outbound trucks, control/limit access to the facility at entry point to include visitor sign in/out logs, issue identification badges, etc
• Capable of walking to and from guard shack to trucks/be very agile
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
• Investigate and prepare reports on incident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of security experience , preferably in a Concierge Security Officer or similar customer-facing security role.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience .
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, exercise sound judgment, and remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, data entry, visitor management systems, access control systems, and CCTV.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods as required by the position.
• Must successfully complete all required background and drug screenings.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.

Hours:

On Call: Must be available 2 different shifts and 6 days out of the week.
