Job summary

Allied Universal in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Security Officer (Full-Time, Unarmed Patrol) to safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom environments and other facilities. You will patrol, deter incidents, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors.

This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and integrity, with a structured schedule and the chance to contribute to security operations at a dynamic technology location.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Access control and badge experience preferred
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and assist with maintaining orderly movement throughout the location.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
