Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full-time Security Officer Incident Reporting Patrol in New York, NY. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while safeguarding clients across government and other facilities.

As an unarmed patrol officer, you will conduct regular patrols, report security-related concerns, and prepare clear incident documents for leadership.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government-operated services by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with orderly entry, directions, and adherence to location requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information for site leadership and appropriate personnel.
