Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol Situational Awareness). The role involves patrolling assigned government facilities, deterring incidents, monitoring access, and assisting visitors with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $16.97 / Hour. Schedule includes DayTime and Evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background checks and drug screen required by law.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs of patrols and incidents.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control procedures, and assist visitors and personnel with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor and employee activity in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
