Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Premises Patrol) in Houston, TX. You will protect government locations, monitor access, patrol premises, and deliver excellent service to clients and the public.

Position is full-time with a daytime/night schedule. Wage is $16.50 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth in a collaborative, mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain orderly access to the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related matters.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
