Job summary

Allied Universal in Sterling, VA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Prevention to safeguard clients in Tech/Media/Telecom locations. You will monitor assigned areas, maintain visibility to deter incidents, and report concerns while providing professional service to employees and visitors.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour. Mon–Fri afternoon shifts. Join a leading security and facilities services company focused on people and communities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, or telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
