Job summary

Allied Universal in Whittier, CA is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for patrol driving awareness at a memorial park location. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, and provide customer service to visitors and staff while reporting observations and incidents per site procedures.

The role requires 1 year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and security-related protocols at a memorial park and cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vehicle activity, and report unusual conditions, hazards, property concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional and respectful presence in a sensitive memorial setting.
