Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Licensed Patrol Driver in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout memorial grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help maintain orderly operations during services, events, and daily visitor hours.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
