Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer full-time, unarmed, for patrol and badge audits in Torrance, CA. You will serve clients at chemical/petrochemical facilities, conduct patrols, monitor access, and maintain incident logs while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, verifying authorizations, and ensuring PPE compliance. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facility areas and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Observe PPE and site entry requirements and communicate hazards to staff.
