Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol role at a logistics and distribution site in the Bronx, NY. You will monitor areas, perform routine patrols, support access control, and respond to alarms while delivering professional customer service in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include managing entry points, documenting incidents, and guiding safe traffic around the site.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shipping and receiving areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer lots, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access for personnel and visitors, and document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity.
• Assist with maintaining orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow around distribution operations while following site-specific procedures.
