Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer Train Station Patrol in Los Angeles, CA. You will serve and safeguard clients across government locations, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication.

As a responsive team member, you will monitor assigned areas, respond to incidents, and document observations while upholding a welcoming environment. A year of security experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton certification preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; direct individuals to proper locations and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism; notify appropriate personnel and document actions.
• Prepare clear activity, incident reports, and daily logs with a professional presence to deter unwanted activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
