Job summary

Doyle Security Services is seeking a Security Officer to observe and report activities at a client site, patrol the premises, and enforce site rules. The role requires standing for most of the day and following a rotating schedule.

Shifts vary, totaling about 40 hours per week with some weekend coverage. Starting pay is USD 18.50 per hour. Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, NYS Security Guard License, a valid driver’s license, and clear English communication.

Responsibilities

Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 0000x0800 (40 hrs.)

Saturday & Sunday 0800x1600, Monday & Tuesday 1600x0000 (32 hrs.)

Wednesday - Sunday, 1600x0000 (40 hrs.)

Saturday & Sunday, 0000x0800 (16 hrs.)

Pay Range

Starting from USD $18.50/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required
• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
