Job summary

Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect client sites in a technology-focused environment. You will monitor access, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors.

This full-time role requires at least a high school diploma, comfort with computer tablets, and a commitment to safety. You will work daytime hours on a rotating schedule, with duties including incident reporting and collaboration

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, access points, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced technology environment.
