Job summary

Allied Universal, Whitsett, NC, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assessment to protect and serve at a technology location. You will monitor areas, deter incidents and provide excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma, 18+ years old, background check, and drug screening. Training is provided; shifts include a set schedule. Competitive hourly pay reflects responsibilities at a leading security provider.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
