Job summary

Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Patrol Communications. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, verify access, and provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors while following site protocols.

This position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and using technology to support security operations. A high school diploma is required and a background check will be conducted; shifts include overnight/day hours in a 24/7 schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
