Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is hiring a Security Officer Residential Community Control Access to safeguard residents, staff, and visitors at a shelter location. You will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents with calm professionalism, and provide excellent customer service while following site procedures.

This full-time role requires being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal reviews criminal histories in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff at a shelter location and follow site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and inquiries calmly and according to escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify entry, document incidents, and report to leadership or responders.
• Maintain a professional presence and interact respectfully with diverse individuals.
