Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA. You will monitor and patrol transportation parking locations, deter security incidents, assist visitors, and report hazards according to site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of parking areas, vehicle storage areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic flow; report suspicious activities and hazards.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, document activities, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and coordination with site staff and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and transportation facility visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking areas, vehicle storage areas, access points, shuttle loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic flow; report suspicious activity, parking-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and coordination with site staff and emergency responders in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
