Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for Full Time Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY. You will monitor government sites, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service to visitors and staff.

Responsibilities include regular patrols, reporting security concerns, and coordinating with supervisors. A valid NY guard license, 1 year of experience, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points; observe and report unusual conditions, unauthorized entry attempts, and security-related concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, seeking appropriate assistance and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate information to supervisors and site personnel.
