Job summary

Allied Universal in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed to safeguard facilities at a chemical/petrochemical location. The role focuses on access control, credentials verification, patrols, and customer service.

The position is full-time with a daytime/night schedule, paying $15.50 per hour. Candidates need 1+ year law enforcement or 2+ years security supervisory experience or 3+ years security experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of law enforcement experience, OR 2+ years security supervisor/manager experience, OR 3+ years security experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while following site-specific procedures and emergency response actions.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials and processing visitors/contractors.
• Operate access-control systems, cameras, and visitor-management tools according to procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and access concerns and document observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
