Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Unarmed) in Spartanburg, SC. The role focuses on safeguarding clients across multiple industries, monitoring access, performing patrols, and delivering excellent customer service in a limited-facilities setting.

You will use computer or tablet tools for badge and access control, log keeping, and incident reporting while supporting loss prevention and ensuring a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and logistics-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Assist with access control, package and delivery processes, and other security-related duties that support orderly operations at the location.
