Job summary

Allied Universal in Hartsville, SC is seeking a dedicated Security Officer Entrance Access - Unarmed. You will protect clients across industries by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and documenting security activity while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires reliability, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and basic computer use. A background check and drug screen are part of the process; licensing requirements may apply by location.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals.
• Observe access points, respond to unauthorized-entry attempts, alarms, and other incidents, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare reports of access-control activities, incidents, and unusual conditions.
