Prosegur Security is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in San Jose, CA to support security operations and identification services. The role blends patrols and access control with administrative duties and strong customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CA Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and security systems such as C-CURE, Quantum Secure SAFE, and SAP. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid California Security Guard License (Guard Card).
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Experience with security and administrative systems: C-CURE, Quantum Secure SAFE, SAP.
• Data entry experience with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with others in a professional office/security environment.
• Willingness to learn and operate multiple security systems with training.
• Indoor/outdoor work in varying weather; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to deter hazards and unauthorized access.
• Manage access control points, including gate operations and badge checks.
• Assist with identification, credentialing, and badging processes.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain security records.
• Utilize security and access systems including C-CURE, Quantum Secure SAFE, and SAP.
• Use Outlook, Excel, and Word for daily admin tasks.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or incidents promptly.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation of daily activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, contractors.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and client requests.
• Follow site and company procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with security team, site management, and other departments.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance per grooming standards.
