Job summary

City Security Services is seeking an Unarmed Gate Security Officer to provide security services and access control at a guard shack in Houston, TX. The role requires verifying credentials, monitoring entry, and enforcing entry procedures with professionalism and calm under pressure.

The position is full-time with a morning schedule, 36 hours per week, and focuses on customer service and vigilant security presence. DPS license and driving record requirements apply. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Active Level II Security License or the ability to obtain one.
• Active Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Verify the credentials of all traffic gaining access through the gates.
• Deny or turn away unauthorized individuals at gates, entrances or other access points in a professional and respectful manner.
• Confirm visitors and contractors are authorized before entry.
• Follow procedures when visitors do not provide proper identification or have authorization.
• Respond to complaints, disturbances, and suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
• Contact law enforcement, fire, or EMS personnel when emergencies arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Pay: $15/hr

Location: Houston, TX 77095 (Cypress Area)

Schedule: Full-Time, Morning, 36 hours/week

• Monday: 6:00AM - 6:00PM
• Tuesday: 6:00AM - 6:00PM
• Wednesday:6:00AM - 6:00PM

City Security Services is seeking a professional, dependable, and alert Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services and access control. The position is stationed at a guard shack and is responsible for controlling entry to the property,verify credentials, confirm authorization for entry, monitor vehicle traffic, and followaccess controlprocedures. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, professional, and confident when communicating with others. Successful candidates must be able to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and pay attention to detail while maintaining professionalism and confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Verify the credentials of all traffic gaining access through the gates.
• Must be comfortable denying or turning away unauthorized individuals at gates, entrances, or other access points in a professional and respectful manner.
• Confirm visitors and contractors are authorized before granting entry.
• Follow established procedures when visitors to no provideproper identification or haveauthorization.
