OverviewEnterprise Security Services Corporation is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to support client sites in the Roanoke area. Officers will patrol and maintain a visible professional presence across retail and commercial locations, with shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

No prior experience required; training will be provided. Virginia DCJS unarmed security registration and a valid background check are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Hold or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registration.
• Meet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registration.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Possess reliable transportation to reach assigned sites in the Roanoke area.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn site procedures and adhere to them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence that deters theft and unsafe conditions.
• Patrol the property and verify entrances and exits are secure.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards and report promptly.
• Assist visitors, customers, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and according to procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports.
• Communicate with site management and emergency services as required.
