Strategic Security Corp. is seeking an attentive Unarmed Security Guard to maintain a visible security presence and service-oriented environment across government, industrial, and retail sites in Albany, NY.

You will perform foot patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, control access points, and promptly report suspicious activity with sound judgment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and eligibility for a state Unarmed Security Guard License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Unarmed Security Guard License required where applicable.
• 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to follow post orders and procedures.
• Ability to operate radios and monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and random security patrols on foot or by vehicle, as assigned.
• Observe, report, and deter theft, misconduct, and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Control entry and exit points and verify authorized access.
• Identify and address safety hazards or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; notify law enforcement or emergency services as required.
• Prepare detailed written reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity.
• Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and orderly post area at all times.
• Assist with basic first aid and emergency notifications.
