Job summary

Allied Universal® in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Security Officer Entrance Observation to protect facilities across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will monitor entry points, provide exceptional customer service, and deter incidents with a visible security presence.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will follow site procedures, respond calmly to alarms, and collaborate with teams. This full-time role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities within a respected security leader.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations; document actions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors.
• Report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, and other security concerns to site contacts and leadership.
