Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Entrance Observation in Blythewood, SC. You will monitor and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location, provide outstanding customer service, and support access control with a visible, approachable presence.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing site by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns; document observations and actions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors.
• Report hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, and other security concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, and other security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
