Job summary

Allied Universal in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Driver to serve clients across industries, manage site access, verify credentials, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our security standards.

This full-time position requires a valid driver’s license, relevant security experience, and the ability to monitor entry points, respond calmly to incidents, and work a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate access-control records, issue and recover authorized credentials as directed, and report discrepancies through established procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
