Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Operations. You will serve and safeguard clients across government education locations, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence using computer or tablet tools.

This role requires strong customer service, the ability to follow procedures calmly, and reliable use of technology. Pay is $18.87 per hour with full-time day shifts; Allied Universal offers training, benefits, and growth

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and assisting with access control processes.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.
