Job summary

Allegiance is seeking an Unarmed School Resource Security Officer for a Halifax, NC campus. Shift is 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, within an education facility. You will patrol the site, monitor cameras, de-escalate conflicts, and maintain a calm, professional presence around students and staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and a background check/drug screening. On-the-job training is provided, and safety is paramount.

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.

We are looking for you to…

• Conduct foot patrols of the facility
• Ability to work and integrate with children in a calm, friendly, and professional manner
• Ability to de-escalate minor conflicts verbally
• Assist Allegiance management in delegated duties and functions
• Follow written/verbal directives
• Stand or walk constantly (for multiple hours, up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet, grass, dirt)
• Monitor security cameras
• Public relations and awareness and dealing tactfully with the public
• Assist in investigations concerning loss/damage of client property
• Follow post orders, Allegiance policy and procedure and other directives
• Obtain and in detail statements, write reports, interview and observe and document information in a professional manner
