Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Guard (Full Time Unarmed Patrol) in New York, NY. You will provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff, patrol assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while responding to concerns with professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a guard card or license preferred, and a background check and drug screen as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain awareness of conditions requiring attention.
• Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with policies.
