Officers deter incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement, performing patrols, checking IDs, monitoring access, and logging activities. The role requires a valid license where required, a driver’s license, the ability to work weekends, and a willingness to complete paid training.

Qualifications

Must have or be able to obtain a Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority.
Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Patrol and monitor premises; identify safety concerns.
Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials.
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol; maintain logs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Patrol & Surveillance

Conduct walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns
Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity

Incident Response & Reporting

Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents
Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)

Customer Service & Policy Enforcement

Assist visitors and employees professionally
Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)
